You can go dramatic and wear your pendant as a choker. Select 18 inches, and let it skim an average cut shirt. Or, go an little longer at 24 inches. As a longer option you can opt for 30 to 36 inches and wear it as a long pendant. 

All options will be finished off with a sturdy, 7mm stainless steel lobster clasp.
